Center for Promotion of the history, folklore and cultural heritage of Ano Stavros of Thessaloniki.
The wider area of Ano Stavros (Stavros, ancient Stageira, Volvi, Redina, Vrasna...) is a dynamic hub of cultural infrastructure with significant tourism development. The aim of the Center for the Promotion of the High Cross, through the CONNECT program "Museums that connect cultures that connect people" within the European program Interreg IPA CBC "Greece - Republic of North Macedonia 2014-2020" is to be a modern hub for the cultural promotion of the region.
The main thematic sections focus on the environment, history and monuments of the area, but the people and the community are more important. Through a series of activities that narrate the traditional way of life, the cultural heritage of Ano Stavros is highlighted.
Exhibits from another era, dioramas, stage designs, texts and graphics are complemented by a multitude of audio-visual media that offer an interactive and augmented experience.
